Model-turned-influencer-turned-entrepreneur Kendall Jenner is promising a months-long sweepstakes opportunity through her spirits brand, 818 Tequila.

On Tuesday, the brand kicked off its “Best Summer Ever” campaign, which will give multiple fans (a maximum of four, according to the official rules) the chance to win $8,180 each from now until September.

We cover our fair share of spirits sweepstakes and promotions on this site, and can tell you up front that this one is rather unprecedented. When spirits brands kick off a giveaway, they typically require users to repost a message, drop a hashtag, record a video or otherwise engage with fellow consumers in some form or another. In an unusual change of pace, 818 has cut out the proverbial middleman. All you have to do is enter some contact information on this site, and the brand will let you know when winners are drawn.

The brand is also launching a “Summer Fridays” series on Instagram and TikTok, through which it will give away products from DUNE Suncare, Hommey, FWRD, Ring Concierge and more, announced on a weekly basis. The brand has not disclosed how many winners will be drawn from the weekly contest.

“‘Best Summer Ever’ really captures the magic of 818 and the kind of experiences we want to create for our community,” Jenner said in a news release. “For us, summer has always been about the rituals; the golden hour margarita or the spontaneous hangouts over tequila cocktails that turn into the best nights.”

First brought to market in early 2021, 818 Tequila was named in honor of Kendall’s hometown area code in Calabasas, California. It’s a number that the brand is very fond of showing off in all manner of promotions and new releases. Over the past few years, the tequila maker has offered to reimburse bargoers $8.18 on Thanksgiving Eve, extended an $8.18 discount through virtual retailers like Gopuff and launched a limited-edition extra añejo sold inside an enormous ceramic “8” (featuring an elongated spout that sort of looks like a “1,” we might add).

It was recently announced that 818 Tequila has entered a strategic and financial partnership with Sazerac, the Louisiana-based spirits powerhouse behind Fireball Cinnamon Whisky and Buffalo Trace.
